Among them, UV-A radiation accounts for about 90% of the ultraviolet components reaching the earth's surface, and can penetrate deeply into the lower skin layer of the skin. In some cases, it will have a serious impact on health, such as weakening connective tissue, accelerating skin aging, increasing the risk of skin cancer, etc.

By using the new ambient light sensor of Ames OSRAM, smart watch users can receive an immediate warning when the UV-A radiation value in the environment is too high.

Barry Guo, marketing manager of Ames OSRAM, said that tsl2585 has short integration time and high sensitivity. It can reliably detect ambient light even under low transmittance materials and OLED screens. Its small size packaging and design greatly improve the manufacturer's industrial design freedom.

It is reported that this ambient light sensor adopts the advanced interference filter of Ames OSRAM, which can be accurately deposited on each photodiode pixel to create 315nm-400nm UV-A channel, human eye responsive bright vision channel and IR channel, which can provide necessary information for indoor and outdoor identification, UV index calculation and environmental illumination detection.

At the same time, the photodiode of tsl2585 adopts a unique partial center arrangement, which can support the narrow frame design, integrates the light source flicker detection function, and is equipped with three modulators with sampling rate up to 14 kHz. By providing illumination and ambient light stroboscopic information to the mobile phone camera, it can support the rapid automatic exposure of the smartphone camera and eliminate the ripple effect caused by the ambient lighting stroboscopic.

In addition, tsl2585 adopts ultra flat package with compact size, only 2.0 mm x 1.0 mm x 0.35 mm. It is suitable for space-saving system design and helps manufacturers design extremely compact equipment; The working voltage is 1.8V and the current when not working is only 0.7 μ A
